In response to the Grenfell Tower tragedy, from 23rd January 2023 an update to the Fire Safety Regulations 2022, means it is compulsory for all residential buildings above three storeys, to display Wayfinding Signs to assist firefighters in the event of an emergency. Signs to be displayed in stairways, to assist firefighters with floor and flat identification on each level in the event of a fire emergency.

To make sure you are fully compliant with the new Wayfinding legislation you must, at minimum, display: • Floor designation signs • Flat designation signs (with directional arrows if required)

To make sure you have the right sign you need for your building, these signs are available to add your own numbers/letters.

To be compliant, our floor identification signs have a minimum letter height of 50mm for text and 75mm for numerals (Appx. 15.14.b) and our flat identification signs have a minimum letter height of 25mm for text and 37.5mm for numerals (Appx. 15.16.c)
